In 2011 and 2012, we carried out the Orchestra del Centro Antico project in Bitonto (Italy). Our activity focused on workshops and concerts with guest musicians and included the participation of around 100 children, allowing for the introduction of rhythms and group creation of pieces.

Workshop on collective artistic creation
March 2011 – Intensive workshop with the participation of 30 children in the old town of Bitonto (Italy). This was a workshop on collective creation and served as the pilot test for the creation of an infant and youth orchestra in the old town.
Workshop II and concert
The second workshop on collective creation took place in June 2012. Over 50 children from the old town of Bitonto participated in the intensive four-day workshop. The orchestra performed in an emotional concert during their visit to a nursing home for the elderly.
Concert in the Auditorium Degennaro
The infant and youth orchestras performed in open rehearsals and a final concert in the Auditorium Degennaro, playing alongside la Orquestra Sinfónica de Bari and the Tahadi ensemble. Our special thanks to the Arte Community Association and the entities that supported us.
