LA MARINA (PB) ORCHESTRA

Project with social and community objectives commissioned by L’engranatge and through Pla de Barris, where two groups of students from the Fundació Mans a les Mans participate in a four-month course that ends with two concerts. These are two orchestras made up of students with social needs and who started the activity without prior musical knowledge. They learned to play more than six families of instruments (percussion, world music and organic instruments that imitate nature) through the Integrasons methodology.

They made their official presentation in June, offering a concert at the Pepita Casanellas Hall. In the context of a parallel project generated with “Art For Change” the orchestras offered a second concert at the CaixaFòrum Auditorium. They played their own creations and improvised together with the team of integrasons teachers and professional musicians.
